A beautiful sight — We’re happy tonight — Hawkin’ in a winter wonderland.
What a way to end the year — spectacular below zero morning, beautiful dry powder falling all day long, afternoon high temp of 4 degrees — this is definitely my kind of weather. Began the New Year’s festivities with an afternoon pheasant hunt with the goshawk — hard to tell which one of us loves snow and cold the best. Walked a prairie buffer strip and conditions were perfect. Put up the first rooster within ten minutes, and caught a beautiful ring-neck a couple of minutes later. For us, it was the perfect way to ring out the old year. Happy New Year to all. Let it snow; let it snow; let it snow!
